Sony’s rumored plans for a new PSP. Many have speculated that the update would be called either the PSP 2 or PSP-4000. Possible titles include PSP Slide, Flip PSP and PSP Go!

The new device will reportedly not feature universal media disc (UMD) support, but the system will offer some new features. So what’s new with the PSP Go!?

  • Built-in storage (8GB and 16GB) as replacement for the UMD
  • Redesign of the hardware with controls sliding out below the unit
  • Touchscreen

Sony’s supposedly going all official with this during its E3 press conference in early June. Launch is suggested as Japan in September, followed by the U.S. in late October or early November.
